|History of Photocatalysis
In 1967, Mr. Akira Fujishima discovered that, with UV light, titanium dioxide generates water and oxygen. In 1972, he published this discovery as “Honda-Fujishima-Effect” with Mr. Honda in Nature. Although this discovery/technology attracted attention as an alternative energy source for petroleum, it has not been put to practical use for forty-four years now. In 1990, deodorization and sterilization effects by oxidative decomposition were discovered. In 1995, super-hydrophilic function was discovered.

color of white chocolate), a minuscule amount of silver (used in silverware),
and Hydroxyapatite (in dental implant). They are approved as food additives

Overcoming “Problems with Photocatalysis”
1. Melt-type: Titanium dioxide shows three crystal structures: Anatase
used in photocatalysis and rutile and brookite used in cosmetics goods.
The liquid crystal transition temperature is found at a 915°C±15°C or higher
where anatase is commonly understood to change into rutile. Forming a catalytic
melt film used to be impossible; the melting point of 1825°C means that
everything turns into rutile, which was believed to be a non-reversible
reaction. However, my new technology of instantaneous melting has made
it possible to create a catalytic melt film that contains anatase.
2. Paint-type: Photocatalysis did not have the ability to distinguish bacteria
and paint materials, both of which are organic matter. Also, photocatalysis
did not work without UV irradiation. Because instant effectiveness is not
necessary if continuous sterilization is available, I solved these problems
in the following manners: I lowered the reactivity to the point where paint
materials remain intact and I also utilized the peculiarity of Hydroxyapatite
in which it selects and chemically adsorbs proteins, such as bacteria and
allergens, etc., that are organic matter. Medical/chemical substances,
being effective only when used with water and consumable by use, always
require their instantaneous effects to be utilized; but, earth plus has made continuous/long-lasting sterilization possible for the first

being much more suitable for daily life. ~
